Meet

Randi Latzman

Welcome! A little about me: I’m Randi, a native New Yorker, Speech-Language Pathologist turned Stay-at-Home-Mom, homeschool teacher, and the creator of Surviving Mom Blog. Writing has been my constant and helped me become the person and mother that I am today. I came up with the name Surviving Mom Blog because of my struggle, survival, and healing from an abusive mother. Also, as a mom I am most definitely surviving the trials and tribulations of motherhood!

I deeply believe that our past does not have to dictate our present and our future.  Support is crucial to growth, and I want others to feel supported and understood no matter where they are in their motherhood journey. Here are some ways that I foster support:

I would love for you to wake up with a comforting message to start your day. That is why I created the Poem-A-Day-List. Some are written by yours truly, but many are written by my favorite poets. I also share my reflections on each poem and a question or prompt.

Sign up to receive a poem-a-day here.

I have journaled my entire life, and it has been my lifeline. It is what led me down the path of writing and eventually authoring my poetry book for all stages of motherhood. Whether you journal regularly or have never journaled, I would love for you to join our 30-day journal challenge. It is completely free!

Support from one another is what allows us to take off our everyday masks and feel seen. It is hard to find a place to do that, which is why I am working on a support group aimed at deep connection and communication.  It is a safe place aimed at getting straight to our hearts and our struggles. If you are looking for an intimate group of like-minded moms who want to encourage, validate, and cheer you on, this is the place for you!

My hope is that this community brings you comfort, validation, and a voice. This is a forum where you are heard, understood, and welcomed.

I’m so glad you’re here!

XO,

Randi
